Finally made the SALTED CARAMEL MOCHA before my Caramel Sauce lost its reason for coming into existence. Am huge huge fan of anything coffee and bitter, and this caramel mocha is the ultimate for me. An espresso drink consisting of espresso, steamed milk (cold milk in my case), foam and chocolate syrup / hot chocolate is what this Salted Caramel Mocha is all about. I don’t want to jibber jabber about this anymore, so get your espresso machine running and your caramel sauce bubbling over the stove…..!
Serves 1
You Will Need:
3/4 Cup of Strongly Brewed Espresso
1 1/2 - 2 tbsp of Home Made Salted Caramel Sauce
1 – 2 tbsp of Cocoa Powder
1/2 Cup of Milk (Cold / Hot, I prefer Cold)
Whipped Cream (Optional, I have not used it)
Extra Caramel Sauce and Espresso for Drizzling & Sprinkling on top
The Cooking:
Prepare the espresso.
In a mug place the cocoa powder, caramel sauce and pour in the espresso followed by milk. Stir well to combine everything.
Top off with whipped cream (Optional) and drizzle more caramel sauce and sprinkle espresso.
IMPORTANT POINTERS:
- Salt is optional, even in the preparation of caramel sauce but it does give a nice zing.
- Adjust the cocoa, caramel and espresso according to your liking.
- If you don’t like coffee, then omit that and proceed for Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate.
- DO NOT use BAKING cocoa powder that's way too bitter, use the hot chocolate one.
