Home Made Sugar Sprinkles

I came across these easy home made sugar sprinkles technique on random YouTube videos. It was so easy and fun to make. And I had a doubt that its gonna harden later. But they stayed good. Just make as much as you want and store it in an air tight container. I have not given any measurements or ratios for sugar and food colour, approx 4 tbsp of superfine sugar will need just a drop of gel food colour. Only concentrated gel food colours are to be used. Water or powdered food colour will never work. And using superfine sugar will give better results.

You Will Need:

Superfine Sugar
Gel Food Colours

What you Need To Do:

Place the superfine sugar in a zip lock bag and add the gel food colour. Now seal it tightly and just rub together the sugar and food colour. This will take a few min to mix thoroughly, so be patient and keep rubbing. If you find you have added less food colour and still there are white sugar crystals seen just add another drop of food colour and continue rubbing. If you have added too much of food colour just add some more sugar and continue rubbing. Magically it will all come together. Let this dry on a plate and store it in an air tight container.

Or, if you don't have a zip lock bag, just place the sugar and food colour in an air tight container. Lid on and just shake well until all are well combined.

Sprinkle over cakes, cupcakes and cookies.
Happy Cooking!
